Lê Thảo Nhi: “Mr. Nawat seems narcissistic, everyone should ignore”
Lê Thảo Nhi thinks that President Nawat Itsaragrisil had heavy words, but Lê Thảo Nhi still hoped that the noise could close.
Recently, runner-up Lê Thảo Nhi appeared at Gala Night, a creative competition where she worked as a judge. On the red carpet, the overseas Vietnamese beauty was asked by the media about the noise of Miss Grand International President – Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil – with Miss Thiên Ân and Vietnamese fans in recent days.
“I think Mr. Nawat (Miss Grand) seems to be narcissistic, probably sad and hurt because he’s ‘unfollowed’. Maybe I can understand people a little bit, because people also have a lot of sadness. Maybe he He got angry and said such heavy words,” shared the Vietnam 2022 Universe runner-up.
Talking more with the media, Lê Thảo Nhi said that Thiên Ân had a positive response to the noise, what Miss 10X showed was smart behavior.
“Thiên Ân also had a positive reaction right? I think that was a smart way to handle it. She understood the story and didn’t want to say much… I think we should still keep a good relationship with Thailand, the future is still very long, there are many projects we can work on. I should not make things bigger, should forgive and let go ,” Lê Thảo Nhi shared.
Asked about the “body shaming” topic that is still painful in everyday life, Lê Thảo Nhi said that it is a daily story, of not only one but also many people. Having been “body shaming” when participating in the beauty pageant, she had a message: “Everyone, please pay attention to your words, what you say, text or write on social networks, don’t hurt others. love”.
The Miss Grand International 2022 contest closes on the evening of October 25, in Indonesia. The focus of the Vietnamese social network is the story of President Nawat Itsaragrisil giving the reason why Thiên Ân could not enter the top 10 in the end.
According to Mr. Nawat, the top 20 achievements of the Vietnamese representative were “too good”. He emphasized that Thiên Ân’s body has not met the criteria, being the only contestant with “the upper body is longer than the lower body, the hips are big”. She was also very slow during the competition.
According to the Chairman, for Thiên Ân to enter the top 10, it is he who is unfair. The judge did not give any place to Thiên Ân, he himself tried to put her in the top 20.
Mr. Nawat’s controversial statements, plus the questions of Vietnamese fans about the previous contest, led to the “unfollow” status of the Miss Grand International homepage. The contest’s Instagram has lost more than 2 million followers, now only 4.5 million followers.
